Discontented with yoga publicized as something for the 20-30 year old, tall, slim, female hanging up-side-down wearing fashionable yoga clothing, Emily and her students decided to compile this easy guide to yoga for everyday life. The research began shortly after completing her 200 HR Yoga Alliance certification in 2003 when Slonina realized how many people did not come to yoga believing  the practice was for those already flexible. In a bookstore, one day, Emily leafed through 84 books hoping to find adaptations and modifications of the classic yoga postures to satisfy her students' needs. She found 6. Thus Anywhere Anytime Any Body Yoga began. Learning from her own students it took another 5 years before the book was completed.

Since, Slonina has studied with a variety of teachers, completed an additional 500 Hrs of study in yoga training in specialties like Yoga for Larger Bodies, Yoga for Multiple Sclerosis, Yoga for Arthritis, etc...

In addition to being an ERYT500 and a member of the International Yoga Therapy Association, Emily is also a certified Trager Movement Practitioner, a Reiki Master/Teacher and a Meditation/Sound Healing guide.
