Sandra K. Nissenberg
Sandra K. Nissenberg, MS, RD, is a registered dietitan with a strong background in feeding healthy families and children. Sandy obtained her bachelors in Foods and Nutrition from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, and her masters in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland. Sandy has two children who helped inspire her on many of her books, especially as she followed their eating habits through the years. Currently, Sandy works as a cookbook editor and nutrition consultant, and lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband. Her children are now grown and have learned how to eat healthy themselves. Her daughter, Heather, co-authored of one of her books on helping kids make and eat fun and healthy foods.
Sandy is a firm believer that kids need to experiment with all types of foods and their flavors and textures. In doing so from a young age, they grow with a greater appreciation of food. Also, she believes that “all foods can fit” within moderation for the healthiest relationship with food through the years.
