Overview

From the Foreword: "This publication came to fruition as a result of several years of research on the ancestry of Thomas Clinton "Clint" Dixon, Sr. and Mary Jane Amburn Dixon. The genealogical research has been conducted in various states across the U.S., and has included accessing records in many courthouses, state archives, and the National Archives in Washington, D.C. as well as several other major repositories including the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Numerous and sundry documents, notes, military records, and transcripts from personal interviews have been collected over the years, and it would be far too extraneous to include all of them in this publication. Clint and Mary lived quietly and peacefully in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains, where the Cherokee warriors once proudly reigned in paths forever carved in our memories."
