Aimee Manis is a published author, writer and editor and a public relations specialist with extensive experience in Lifestyle arenas including Weddings, Fashion, Beauty and Entertainment. Armed with a life-long fascination with all-things fashion, Manis specializes in launching new products and brands, expanding them from niche markets into the mainstream by developing intelligent and creative marketing and publicity strategies. Dovetailing from her obsession with small batch beauty products, Manis now brings a discerning eye and editorial point of view to Raw Curiosité.
Since 2000, Manis has drawn on her communications expertise to position and promote visionary companies and brands such as Monique Lhuillier, Oil of Olay, MySpace, Simply Delicious Caterings, S3 Shapiro Settlement Solutions, Studio System News, and now her own digital magazine, Raw Curiosité.

Manis is the author of Unbridaled Fashion, Bargainista Bride, and 52 Things Brides on a Budget Should Know as well as numerous feature articles for Studio System News and editorials for Inside Weddings Magazine, where she was an editor for over five years. During her helm at Inside Weddings, Manis played a role in the magazine’s rise from a local start-up to the internationally-distributed, fastest-growing bridal publication on the market.  As a writer and editor, she used her background in writing, fashion design and wedding planning to bring personality and elegance to the largely cookie-cutter bridal arena, empowering the betrothed with the unique choices and individuality considered outside-the-box at that time.

Before joining Inside Weddings, Manis spent over two years as West Coast Public Relations Director for fashion phenom Monique Lhuillier, a Los Angleles-based bridal and eveningwear designer now known as the darling of the Red Carpet Crowd.  As the liaison between the design house and the press, publicists, celebrities and their ubiquitous stylists and entourages, Manis gleaned an insider’s perspective on the politics of fashion in today’s media-centric world. Prior to that role, Manis was Assistant Retail Manager of the Monique Lhuillier Flagship Salon in Beverly Hills, assisting in the opening and launch of the designer’s first retail atelier.  It was at this flagship that Manis learned the ropes of luxury retail, where half-million-dollar wedding budgets and shopping with your life coach is the norm.

After earning a degree in Liberal Arts from The University of Tennessee, Manis moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to study fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, where she discovered an infatuation with the design of frouf-and-pouf-free wedding gowns, and her foray into the bridal industry began.

After spending 20 years in Los Angeles, Aimee and Brian Manis now live in Memphis, Tennessee, with their two children and a naturally-curious French bulldog.
