Paul W. Chilcote

Paul W. Chilcote, PhD, is professor of historical theology and Wesleyan studies and director of the Center for Applied Wesleyan Studies at Ashland Theological Seminary. He also serves as president of The Charles Wesley Society, an international organization devoted to the preservation and dissemination of the prose and poetic writings of the Anglican priest and highly acclaimed hymn writer. He enjoys a special relationship with Mt. Angel Abbey in Oregon as a Benedictine Oblate and is the author of many books, including Early Methodist Spirituality; Recapturing the Wesleys’ Vision: An Introduction to the Faith of John and Charles Wesley; and John & Charles Wesley: Selections from Their Writings and Hymns—Annotated & Explained (SkyLight Paths).
