William E. Oliver

William E. Oliver

Bill was a native of San Jose, California. He graduated from San Jose High School, San Jose City College and Western Illinois University where he received his B.A. degree. 

During World War II, Bill served with the North Atlantic Division of the Military Air Transport Command (NAD-ATC) and saw service in Azores, Great Britain, and France. After the war, Bill was employed by United Airlines, and he retired as the Denver Crew Scheduling and Dispatch Manager after 32 years of service. 

Bill is a past District Governor of Lions International, District 4-C6, serving from 1993-1994. He was a member of the San Jose Host Lions Club and currently an 11 year member of New Smyrna Beach Lions Club. He is also a progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, a life member of Canine Companions for Independence.
